The Center for Support and Development of Public Initiatives Creative Diplomacy (PICREADI), a Russian NGO working in the field of public diplomacy, has the pleasure to introduce you to our Meeting Russia program.
Meeting Russia is a unique public diplomacy program for young leaders from the United States, Canada, and Europe interested in Russia. Held in Moscow on , the program focuses on Russia's foreign policy and its relations with the West. Through meetings with senior Russian officials and top experts and exchange with their peers, 20 international participants will have a chance to address critical issues related to Russia’s role in world affairs and to connect with a diverse professional community.
Meeting Russia seeks to facilitate dialogue between rising leaders interested in Russia and contribute to the discussion about Russia–West cooperation.
The program is held in English; it is independently-run by Creative Diplomacy and funded by a grant from the Presidential Grant Foundation (Russia).
Creative Diplomacy holds the program for the second time. In February 2017, Meeting Russia brought together 19 young leaders to Moscow and featured meetings at Russian government bodies (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Council of Federation) as well as with experts (including from Russian International Affairs Council, Carnegie Moscow Center, Higher School of Economics).
The deadline for applications is . Candidates wishing to participate should meet the following eligibility requirements:
- age: 25−35 years;
- citizenship: United States, Canada, Europe;
- field of activity: representatives of universities, think-tanks and research organizations, media, NGOs, government institutions, the private sector with professional interest in Russian foreign policy.
Creative Diplomacy covers accommodation, meals, and transportation in Moscow and assists with visa invitations.
Participants are responsible for covering costs of their travel to Moscow, insurance, and visa fees (if applicable). A limited number of need-based travel grants are available to reimburse part of travel costs.
