JOB: Three-Year Assistant Professorship Dept. of Slavic Languages & Lits; University of Virginia

The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures invites
applicants to fill a three-year, potentially renewable Assistant
Professor position on the Academic General Faculty (tenure-
ineligible) with an anticipated start date of December 25,
2018.

Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited
to: Slavic folklore, film, cultures, and literatures, and Polish
language. Compensation will take the form of full-time
salary with full-time benefits. Applicants must hold a Ph.D.
at the time of application or be on track to receive a Ph.D.
in the relevant field by December 1, 2018. Applicants must
hold the terminal degree at the time of appointment.

Candidates must have a strong, demonstrated commitment
to teaching, and experience in teaching large-enrollment
courses.
