The editorial board of “Vestnik of Saint Petersburg University. International Relations” announces call for paper for the special issue From Rivalry to Coexistence and Back: Understanding Continuity and Change in the Russian-American Relations.
The volume is designed to provide common ground for the academic debates on the origins, international impact and prospects of the current Russia-United States tensions on both global (WMD non-proliferation, strategic arms reduction, counterterrorism) and regional (Syrian and Ukrainian crises, Iranian nuclear program) security issues. Other questions and themes are also welcome.
The editorial board welcomes research articles and review essays, exploring historical, geopolitical and systemic drivers of the Russian- American contestation. The papers presenting academic viewpoints from various theoretical perspectives are also invited.
Manuscript submissions (6000-7500 words, including abstract, references, tables and figures) are due June 1, 2019.
