The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (http://gsll.unc.edu/) is seeking a superior and innovative instructor to teach introductory and intermediate Russian language courses coordinated by the Russian Program Director. This is a fixed-term, renewable, non-tenure-track position (Teaching Assistant Professor); a three-year appointment is to begin on July 1, 2019. The successful candidate will carry a full-time, 3/3 teaching load; duties will involve teaching and university service.
Doctorate (or foreign equivalent) in Slavic languages and literatures or closely related field, by July 1, 2019. Candidates are expected to have familiarity with communicative methods and technologies used in teaching the Russian language at the college level. Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English required.
