The Association for Women in Slavic Studies invites nominations for our upcoming Officer and Board elections.  If you or anyone you know might be interested in working to help promote the field of women, gender, and sexuality in Slavic Studies, please forward this information.  For the two-year 2021-2022 term, we have the following openings:

Vice President/President-Elect
Treasurer
Executive Board member (two spots)
Graduate Student representative (two spots)

AWSS is dedicated to the promotion of research and teaching on women and gender in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Eurasia and to the support of women scholars working in any field of Slavic and Eurasian Studies.  We foster community through regular gatherings at annual and biennial conferences, collaboration with other affiliate organizations, frequent communication through our listserv as well as informal networking opportunities. We also connect with our members via social media (please find us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).  AWSS also offers several prizes that recognize the achievements of women in Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies and draw attention to exceptional scholarship on women/gender studies in the field.

AWSS is open to everyone!  Our members are people from all over the world who are committed to the study of women, gender, and sexuality in Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies across disciplines, as well as those committed to promoting the interests and careers of women in the profession.

Anyone interested in running or anyone with questions should reply off-list to Natalie McCauley at nmccaule@richmond.edu
