Position Summary
The History Department at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship beginning in August 2020 in Russian/Eastern European history since 1800. All topics are welcome. The candidate is expected to contribute to the department's teaching from introductory surveys and undergraduate lectures to undergraduate and graduate seminars. Standard duties for academic-year (10-month) faculty include teaching two courses per semester, advising and mentoring students, maintaining a strong research program, and providing service to the Department and University. The candidate must have received a PhD by the start of the appointment.
