POSITION: Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian

DEADLINE: February 11, 2024 Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian Russian Department, Dickinson College – Carlisle, PA Dickinson College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Russian Department for the 2024–2025 academic year, beginning July 1, 2024. The teaching load is five undergraduate courses over two semesters, which will include a mix of language teaching in Russian and content courses in English. Essential qualifications include a commitment to undergraduate education, the ability to foster inclusive learning environments, and demonstrated success teaching in both Russian and English at the university level. The successful candidate will be eager to contribute actively to the life of a vibrant and collegial Russian Studies program. Specialization is open to any area of Russophone literature, film and media, and culture. We are especially interested in candidates who could contribute courses to our global film and media studies program. Dickinson College is a private, selective, liberal-arts college of about 2,400 undergraduate students located in central Pennsylvania, 20 miles southwest of the state capital, Harrisburg, and within driving distance (approximately 1.5–3 hours) of Baltimore, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. The College is known and respected for its international, interdisciplinary, and sustainability programs. Salary and benefits are competitive.
