Job: Russian Lecturer, University of Hawaii Fall 2022

The Department of Languages and Literatures of Europe and the Americas invites applications for the temporary part time position of Lecturer in Russian for Fall semester 2022 (one semester only), beginning August 2022.

Closing Date: Continuous

Contingent on approval, position clearance, availability of funds, and sufficient enrollment.

Duties and Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year Russian: 9 credits, three courses.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. M.A. or equivalent degree in Russian or related fields;

2. High Level proficiency in Russian and English

3. Experience teaching Russian in the USA at the college/university level

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Ph.D., in Russian or equivalent (ABD will be considered; must have degree in hand by

07/31/2022)

2. Evidence of student-oriented and innovative instruction.

3. Scholarly publication and participation in national professional organizations encouraged,

but not required for appointment.
